Anna Dorothea Mutterer was born on December the 11th, 1992 in Amberg (Germany). Her musical talent emerged early, so she started playing the violin and the piano at the age of 6. At the age of 10 she began to study violin at the “Hochschule für Musik Würzburg”. Currently she´s studying with Prof. Nicolas Koeckert in Munich and Vienna. In Masterclasses she worked with Prof. Nicolas Koeckert, Prof. Petru Munteanu, Prof. Kurt Sassmannshaus, Prof. Michael Vaiman, Prof. Weidong Tong, Baiba Skride and Florian Meierott. She´s holder of a scholarship of the “Florian Meierott Stiftung”. Anna Dorothea got several first prices at the national German Youth Competition “Jugend musiziert” and participated in several international competitions such as the “International Violin Competition for Violin Kloster Schöntal 2011” where she got a certificate of honour. In 2007 she won the audience award at the International Competition for Violin in Kitzingen, Germany and the second prize at the International Festival of Music in Bad Hindelang in 2009. She also received the first price at the International Violin Competition in Vicenza/Italy in 2013. Since 2000 she has performed on stage in solo recitals, concerts with violin and piano as well as concerts with orchestra in Germany and abroad. She also plays many concerts with different ensembles playing string quartet and quintet and other chamber music.
